Poetry is like baseball
In baseball 3 hits
out of 10 at bats
is great.
In poetry 1 good poem
out of 10 you write
is great.
But the Muse doesn’t pitch,
play defense or hit.
She’s a lucky break,
a friendly bounce of the ball.
